A Yellow-Throated Toucan seen from our balcony. Note the hole in the tree below it, the toucans were going in them.

Theme: God's sovereignty, holiness

Best VerseThe earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;

Command to Obey: --

Sin to Avoid: --

Promise to Claim: God is sovereign. Everything and everyone belongs to him.

Application to Make: Trust in God.

Something New About God: God is sovereign.

Reflection: God is sovereign. He created the heavens and the earth. He created everything in them including people. Therefore the earth and all who live in it belong to the Lord. He is creator God to everyone, and he is a covenant God to Christians. But regardless of whether people acknowledge God, he is sovereign. The earth reflects God's glory, people are made in the image and likeness of God. We can see and encounter God everywhere.

Arenal Volcano National Park: We did the free tour and highly recommend it. We were staying at Arenal Springs Observatory and Trails and they have a free talk, free naturalist tour of their trails, and tractor rides. The tour was exceptional, discussing birds, plants, reptiles and amphibians. We spent a lot of time on the balcony just waiting for birds, and also enjoyed the pool. We also saw monkeys in the trees and coati (pizote) all around. We were cautioned to lock our doors because the coati can open unlocked doors and windows and throw a party in your hotel room! Abby loved seeing them!
